anyone install remote start

I'm thinking of installing a remote start. But I don't know if i need to use a Bypass Module or not or can i use a resistor to sim. a chip in the key

You'd need to use a bypass module, which temporarily bypasses the security system when starting. Or, you can totally bypass the VATS with a resistor, but then you lose your security system for good.
