Every time I click on a picture or a name to try and see more about a car or a person I get an error that says I am not authorized. How can I make new contacts or learn new things if I can't do anything? Is this because I am new and if so how long do I have to be here or how many posts do I have to make before this changes? Also I see that there are different levels of members (newbie, first gear, second gear etc) what do these mean and how are they achieved?

Yup, I believe the new user restrictions are 15 days, and 10 posts, but I'm not 100%.

This is not done to punish new members, but it is done to protect our existing ones, from members who sign up to abuse the PM system, or just post stuff for sale as if we're Craigslist.

Ok, thanks for the info. I will be doing lots more than 10 posts since this is the first Camaro I have owned. As to the 15 days I guess I will just have to try and be patient.
