you know by getting a bigger battery then the car calls for is better then a cap.
(98 malibu w/ drop seat 3000 watt rms amp w 5000 watt subs) and 6 zero gauge and ground wires 158 db. legal god the good ol days. PORT THE BOX.

Hmm, my 95 came with a sub -- does yours not have one in the hatch area on driver's side?
In my case I would like to add a sub on an 01 convertible that did not come with a sub -- a little more challenging in the cramped convertible... Usually you have to sacrifice the little trunk space that's there... I would love to hear suggestions for this idea!

I was wondering if this is possible to do? I would also keep the original speakers that came in the car stock and only add the woofers for bass. Is this possible and if so how would it sound? I want the bass and some good sound but don't want to spend gobs of money on it either. Let me know what you think. Your feedback is highly appreciated. The car is a 95 Z28 with the OEM CD player and bose speakers.
