Default 2000 Stock Radio ??

So my Z28 still has the stock radio with the CD player in it and I noticed that it has the "AUX" Button below the CD button. My question is, am I able to run an AUX cord through the car and into the back of the stereo? I would love to be able to play my MP3 through the car and keep the stock look going.

If I am not able to do that, what are some suggestions for a stereo that will 1. fit in the stock placement. and 2. will still allow me to be able to use the steering wheel controls.

Thanks in advance.

i think thats for the cd changer option. if you dont have the owners manual look in the manuals section for owners manual and or shop manual. should say in the owners manual under the stereo operation.

That makes sense. I remember seeing the cd changer option but nothing about an aux port. So that leads into my other question. What's a good aftermarket stereo that fits well?

Yes, here is what you need, you will get full steering wheel control along with Left & Right RCA inputs PLUS iPhone/iPod/iPad port input. I have them in both my Camaros, they just plug into the CD Changer port -- the AUX button is for either a CD Changer (which is prewired to the trunk), or in this case your external audio source.

USA SPEC: PA11-GM45

Then get a ProClip mount for your device(s), I also have them in both Camaros, and they work great with the USA Spec device -- best to get the mount holder with the integrated dock port.

^ No Android version, just use the RCA jacks with an adapter to plug into your device.

Here's a used one for <$40, new is around $98 on eBay…
