Default stereo wiring

Ijust bought a kenwood stereo to install on my 79 camaro. The stereo came with no directions but has some labeling on the wires. I was able to connect all the speakers properly but have been unable to match up the other wires. There are four wires on my stereo that do not correspond to those in my car...one is a black (I assume ground), one is red, one is yellow, one is blue and labeled P. CONT.The only wires i have been able to find in the car are grey, yellow, and black. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (This would have been much easier if the original stereo had still been present...)
