power converter

Default power converter

I was wondering if there was some sort of universal remote systen soi can hook up my power converter to it the converter is in the trunk and its a pain in the *** to open the trunk everytime i turn off my car to turn the converter off i want to hook it up to my sterio so that when it turns on and off the converter turns on and off

you mean inverter? and yes there is a very easy way to do it

Basically remove the switch from the inverter. It should be a two way switch. There will be two wires going into it. Cut them off so the switch is free. Mount the switch somewhere in the console or dash. I out mine in my ashtray. Then use speaker wire to make the original wires long enough to go to the switch. Obviously you'll want to run the wires under the carpet or under the trim so it doesn't show. If you have questions on this, PM me. I actually did this job yesterday. And it works good. Kinda make me feel like I have a little nitrous switch in my console lol. BTW what are you running or the inverter? A home subwoofer? lol Well that's what I have running off my inverter and it hits as hard, if not harder, than car subs. Lemme know if you need any help on it. I can post pics if you like too.

Thanx man ya i got my 1000 watt home theiter system so the surround sound is ran to my speakers and then i have 2 12 inch audiobans in the trunk also i am going to put a regular house plug in the center counsai on the back so i can charge my fone and laptop in the car when im on the rd the sterio sounds really good to DD 5.1 surround sound in the camaro way better that the monsun sustem some of the cars came with ill post pics of the plug when i get that done tomorrow or the next day
