Picture of fit of my new head unit in my 87 IROC. The old one finally gave up after having poor reception for the last year.

Is the picture of the old or new one? I hope the old one.
That thing still has a tape deck.... I would say its time for a new one.

 

Yes you are right it has a cassette deck and it is the new one. If you have a console of tapes you buy what what you need. And you can have your 500watt base if you want that young one..
