RE: alpine
I had the old model of that Alpine in my 1500.
It was pretty much audiosex.
I loved it, the bass was crisp, clear and loud. The midrange was great, and the treble was spectacular. I coupled it with Polk DBs and I was in love.

RE: alpine
For sure go Alpine. They are the best in in the bizz IMO. I gotta old Alpine CDA-D852 that came with the car and it still sounds brand new. Look it up its old school. For the most part their stuff lasts forever.

RE: alpine
i would step up to the 9883, instead of the 9881. electronix's warehouse will install it with iPod hookup and all harnesses for just shy of 300. it's a 210 dollar unit, iPod hookup is 30, and the harnesses and what not it about 30. will take them 15min to install.
