Static with Monsoon
Hi, I've read through various posts regarding the monsoon stereo, similar to my 98 firebird v6.
I replaced my rear back panel speakers this weekend with Polk DB400, 4". There was static and popping noises that drove me nuts.
To my surprise, I can hear faintly static emanating from the rear of the car again. Is this a problem with the internal Monsoon amp? I thought the back panel speakers were wired of the head unit (my new sony), while the sail panel and front 6.5" were driven off the amp.
I also have an 8" bazooka tube with an internal amp.
Other than the details I listed, I have no idea how the head unit is wired up to the tube. I had someone wire up both for me this past summer.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Rick
