I have a '97 Camaro convertible with the stock radio and trunk mounted 12-disc cd player. The player works, but sometimes it will just suddenly stop working and the cd icon will not even appear on the lcd display. This seems to usually happen when changing discs. When I take out the cd cartridge, there is usually one cd and its corresponding holder jammed in the changer still. After I take it out, put it back in the cartridge and reinstall the cartridge into the player, it works fine again for awhile.

What is up with my cd changer and how can I fix it?
