Default Right rear brake brake light stays on???

Rear brake light on passenger light stays on with no driving light while car is in operation. Just changed the bulb because it was burned out. Root cause was moisture/water inside the lens due to cracked lens. I put clear gorilla tape over the cracks to keep water out.....yet it still gets in after I wash the car. Need long-term solution for keeping water out?? I am replacing both of the rear taillights lens. Need to figure this out before I replace them.

yep, i have seen it, somehow they go in. the pins that stick out are at different depths and if the bulb socket gets worn and old they go in the wrong way. only other thing i can think of is the blinker system, switch sticking or shorting on one side.

Check the bulbs, make sure you have the harness attached to the lens correctly. Silicone should seal the lens, I had the same problem.
