Default Need help sizing tires / rims

I have selected the rims I want to put on my 1998 Camaro. They are

SKU#: CV07A-18095-5475-56BR
WHEEL SIZE: 18x9.5
WHEEL OFFSET: 56
BOLT PATTERN: 5-120.65
HUB SIZE: 70.3
BACK SPACING: 7.45

Basically 18" reproduction Z06 rims in black with a red band. I want to keep all 4 rims at 18" (I hate 19/18" or whatever the case may be because it puts an angle on the car).

Here is a link to them

Here is what I need help with. I want to also purchase 4x Nexen N3000 tires from the same website because they have great deals. I am not exactly sure which tires I should choose (dimensions wise). I know they need to be 18" but thats pretty much it.

The front wheels will be 9.5 wide, and the rears 10.5 wide.

Can someone help me find the correct tires I would need for this order? I would like them to be low profile, not SUPER low but nice and slim overall.

Here is a link to their page for nexen tires.

I really appreciate the help, thanks a lot, Keith

You will probably have to hammer in your fender wells with a 10.5" rear and 56mm offset. All z06 replicas will have a 56mm offset however, so it is suggested to run a 9.5" rear instead. If you run a 9.5" rear you can have up to a 285 wide tire. Do note that if you still go with a 10.5" you cannot run bigger than a 295 without hammering the fender wells and rolling the fenderlip.

Veryyy helpful info! Well seeing as I only have a V6 (all show no go), I might as well save myself the hassle and just go with the 9.5", ill never even be able to spin a 10.5" for more than a couple seconds. Although I would like to have a wider tire on the rear because it adds to the stance from the rear of the car quite a bit.

Would you be able to help me pick out the correct tires from the given link?

I don't want my tires to stick out too far from the rims at all, maybe just enough that if I were to ever hit a curb I would have SOME amount of impact resorption protecting the rim from impact.

I really appreciate the info!

I'd go for 275/35/18: 275-35-18 Nexen Tire

The 275 width is the same as the SS and WS6 cars and fit a 9.5" rim nicely. The 35 is the aspect ratio; 35% of the section width (275mm). I didn't notice if there was a 275/40 on that listing but that could be another option for you.

Great! Thats what I was thinking for the rear. As for the front of the car, do you think I should go a little smaller like 245 or just keep them all the same? Is the tiny difference even really noticeable? Thanks a lot, Keith

I would stay the same on all 4 corners, makes it easier when it comes time to rotate your tires.

All four 275/35/18 it is then. Really appreciate the help. One last question, will I need any type of spacer / bracket to install these rims or will they bolt right on no problem?

Thanks again, Keith

Should be no issues on the install; anything under 10.5" and 56mm offset should have no issues on the rear. Fronts shouldn't have any issues, but may be best to search around on the v6 area or other v6 forums to find if there are any rubbing issues with running a 275 tire up front. I can only tell you what works on the v8 cars, and no issues with 275 on those. No problem, and good luck, should look great when all is said and done
