i was looking around for a wrecked 99 SS to see if i could put the hood on my z28 i figured with the functional ram air hood, and a short ram intake it would function better than just a regular cold air intake......

would this work? btw i got a 99 z28 and im looking for the same year model for the hood, are the parts interchangeable and would it function how im thinking it would?

They're interchangable, and it will work how you think it will, but the benefits of a ram air style intake are usually exactly the same (or even less than) as a CAI. If I were you, I'd save the money from the hood/ram air setup, buy a CAI, and come out ahead.

 

98-02 hoods are the same. As said above it will fit and the ram air will do you no good spend the money you where going to spend on the hood and air parts and put a cam in her if you are bolted. If not then intake, y-pipe, exhaust.
