is it better to paint them or to just buy the blackout covers? not worried about money just wondering which one looks better.

 

I think the spray on tint always looks better. the covers are slightly over sized to fit over the lenses and IMO give the lights a bloated look. You have to be careful to put on even coats of spray so the two side look the same. Also be aware that the lights will look darker after the spray on tint is dry. So dont put to many coats, you can always reapply more.
