Default Biggest tire to stuff under my 99 v6

I have a 1999 v6 and I was wondering what is the biggest tire I can stuff in there without it rubbing or having to cut the body. Thanks for all the help this forum has helped me with so far.

Some guys on here have done 275's with no problem. Not sure if any bigger is possible with out modifications.

Do you know if I could put 315's on my C5 wheels? also what is the full size of those tires? like all three of the numbers on the sidewall?

you will lose a bit of power just turning a tire that big. probably best to do a 275 on the back or all the way around for that mater. 245s will fit stock rims and not lose performance
Front 17x8.5 Billet 245x45
Back 17x11 Billet 315x35

I'm running 245/40x18 front on 18x8.5" rims, and 275/35x18 on 18x9.5" rears. No hammering, no rolling the fender lip, No problems at all.

Well it depends if you are going to run the same size tires on the front and rear. I know the rears you can go pretty darn wide. but up front 275 wont rub, but 285s will at stock ride height. If the car is lowered it gets even worse.
