1998 z28, new tires
#11
Ok, i will look into the Kumho's some more, and maybe the BS Potenza's. i only have the budget for about $100 per tire, maybe a lil more. I have 4 Yokohama AS430s on there now with 28,000 miles on them. i know i cant get another year out of them, maybe two i just like to plan ahead and get excited for new tires!

Being about 6 months later, did you decide on tires? I had a set of BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 on my '91 Camaro in the same size. They were much better in the rain than the crap tires the car came with.

here in FL you don't even want to consider "summer tires" unless you want to repalce them in 5,000 miles.
So far, I've been happiest with Sumitomo HTR's the all season version.
I do use Kumho on a few of my vehicles and have not 1 complaint. In fact, they wear better than the Toyos I bought and at $75 per tire less who can complain

They were great in dry weather. They wore longer than my Toyota trucks tires. Got 10k more miles out of them.

The first summer tires i tried were Hankook and at 5k miles they were done including the fronts. I had some BF goodrich tires hanging around and i yanked them after a couple months as they wore out. I then went to Toyo, Nexen (all season tires)and finally Sumitomo
this is all on the 95Z
the Sumitomo all season radials are wearing well.
I'm also probably going to put them on my Stang once the Toyos are done.
