hey i know this is a really common question but my window doesnt work and im gonna get it fixed but is it the motor or the regulator that needs replaced or both?

Generally you should do both, because you don't want a bad regulator to cause a motor to wear prematurely or cause troubles...

If it doesn't work at all, it's likely the motor, but have both checked!

 

its probably just a motor....from the looks of it this is an extremely common problem with 4th generation f-bods. i had both of mine go out at the same time and for me it was just the motors
