Default wideband gm o2 sensor

has anyone here tried putting a wideband air/fuel gauge in their car? can I put a wideband o2 sensor in place of the front stock o2 sensor? will I need the pcm tuned for the wideband or should I just drill a hole and mount it head of the stock o2 sensor?

yes you can put it there, thats where it goes if you plan on tuning with hptuners anyways. you will have to tune the o2 senor out or it will throw a ses light.

Leave the normal o2 sensors and place and have a bung welded in down stream a bit. Thats where I have my wideband installed.

The point of a wideband is for datalogging a modified car where tuning with a wideband is necessary. All factory o2 sensors are narrowband. Is there a purpose for adding a wideband on your car (boost, nitrous?)

Aem is what I had, the wb o2 plugs into the gauge, then you have a power and ground wire. That's it unless your tuning with hpt's then the third wire taps into your egr on the v6 for data logging.
