why V6's cost so much?

why V6's cost so much?

Care to explain?

My Fuel pump went out a week ago. cheapest fuel pump I've found is $246 but the fuel pumps for V8's are half the price around here!

I think you are compairing the pice of a drop in full sending unit to the price of just a pump. The V6 sending unit can be disassembled and a new pump only can be installed.

There is only like a $20 difference in the price of the pump between my car and my Wife's car. Not sure why the V6 pump costs more but it is only $20.
