I hope you did not buy one of those resistor for the IAT. As for chips in the cpu I think they only make them for pre OBDII. You may still be able to change it in 94 and 95.

The V6s will take chips up to 95. However, save your $20 as you will hardly notice the difference, and wind up having to buy premium gas.

I can about guarantee that this is the "chip" you are talking about http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-02...spagenameZWDVW
I think it's basically the same as a resistor just hidden in a plastic casing.
I wouldn't waste the money. Save up for a tuned PCM from pcmforless.com they are tuned specifically for the mods you've done to your car.

Yeah, all those chips off of ebay do, is tell the engine, that the air is a certain temperature, all the time. The whole purpose of having an IAT sensor, is so that it can adjust according to the amount of oxygen in the air. Here

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...79546&rd=1

That one is PROM, that is put between the sensor, and the engine. Instead of givingbeing a static reading like a resistor, the chip checks the air temperature, and then adjust the output. I was skeptical, but it had a money back gurantee, so I thought I couldn't go wrong with that. I put it in, and I lost about eight tenths of a second of my 0-60, and my MPG went up slightly as well.
