The 3.8 L36 Series II that is in the 4 gen Camaros, who makes it? Is the current engine a Buick? Cause when I look up parts for it, chevy doesnt have a listing for the 3.8, no matter where I look. The tard at G.M today couldnt even tell me. Oh and another thing. At my work, the general manager sometimes likes to be a total *** and get on my case for his jollys. Anyways with that said, I think he is a **** sometimes. But as of today, after I found out his sister is a parts manager @ a local Chevy dealer and can get me parts at cost, he is my best buddy.

 

The 3.8 was originally designed by Buick, way back when each GM division designed its own engines. All GM engines are now built and designed by GM Powertrain. The 3.8 has ben redesigned many times and improved over the years.

 

I have been having the same stupid parts guys at GM dealers not being able to help me. I need a new Belt tensioner and they couldnt even give me the price because they couldnt find the part that is made for the car. Not that I was going to buy one from them anyway but still, they dont really have much info on the 3.8s.
