Someone explain this to me, cause im reading mixed things and im a wii bit confused. Once again i have the 1998 3.8 v6, Everyone knows about the SLP CAI kit for it. But i want the whisper/air box lid as well. For the v6 they only have the SLP airbox one for 99-02. however, the SAME SLP air box works on the 1998 v8? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLE-21044/ so will this work on my 1998 3.8 v6????? cause it doesnt make sense to me that the CAI kit they make will fit into this, but the box itsself wont go onto the v6? sorry if this is confusing haha im lost

 

The SLP lid will not fit. the airbox size of the V6 and V8 are the same, but the opening for the MAF housing on the V8 lid is much bigger. The only V6 lid that I know of is the Whisper motorsports one. Or you could just remove teh baffles from your stock lid.
