alright, i must say, i've learned my lesson...for the most part. i ran my car extremely hard the other day. although it felt great to shut my mustang-driving friend up, it sucks that i may have done something to my car. it's making a whining noise, but only when it's in gear. if i put it in neutral and rev, there's no whining. my clutch has been needing to be replaced for a while now, it doesn't slip, but second gear grinds if i run it hard, (well, i've been granny shifting from 1st to 2nd since it started doing that, so when i do race, i don't force it in). anyway, that being said, could it be my throwout bearing? i've heard that they whine when they start to go bad. i took it to a local garage the other day, and they think it's the rear end, but i don't think that's it. the whining is coming from the front, not the rear. either way, that's the last time i race, at least until i get a new clutch, get this problem fixed, and have everything else checked out just to be sure.
