I second that. The 98 Y87 has nothing to do with the brakes, so you could have a 98 Y87 with front disk and rear drum.
An interesting note, there were no RS made in 98. It was replaced with something called a RPO Y3F which was the 'sports apearance package' and had all the stuff an RS would have had, only no badges.

 

no...Y87 package included Four-wheel discs where applicable (98+ have 4-wheel disc standard so 96 and 97 only take advantage of this)

Well I'll be darned. You're right. I stand erected. I should have read the whole section in the white book. I noticed that the brakes weren't mentioned in the RPO Y87 description for a 98 so I figured they weren't part of it since the 96 and 97 mentions it. That's what I get for paying attention.

its ight dude...tons of people ask this question, I didn't even kno I had the package until i researched it, not many people seem to kno about it...its a good package particularly the LSD and Gears...

 

ok so since i hace 3.42 gear putting in my 3.55's realy isnt gonna do me anygood after the remote turbo is put on, i'm $500 shie of getting the rest of the stuff i need for this

 

if you have 3.42's...3.55's would not be worth it...
