Default What tires am I gunna need for these new rims??

Last night I picked up a used set of C6 Z06 rims.
As far as I know they are a direct swap.

But my question is, can I run a regular size tire? Or am I gunna have to get low pros?

18's in the front, 19 in the rear

Im going from a 16 or 17 in. SS rims

I would say a low-pro tire.

well here's what I got.
Here are some pictures for display purposes..

Looks like i could fit a regular tire on there just not 100% sure..
And the rear tire is a little too wide. Thinking im gunna need to get 1 or 2in spacers to make the rear's fit..
But the fronts fit perfectly

What do you mean "regular" tire? If you are wanting the tire height to remain the same, then you will need what are called low profile tires. It is a regular tire that just has a smaller sidewall.

I am also about to change the rims and tires on my 97. You will have to lower the profile on your tires if don't want to change to overall diameter (height) of the tires. Be careful because if you change the overall size too much I have been told that you will cause not only the speedometer to read incorrectly but you may also change the shift points for the transmission. I am by no means mechanically inclined, but just from shopping for these new rims-- thats what all the dealers have been telling me.

Is it the angle of the picture, or are those wheels really sticking out past the fenders as much as it looks? And you need to add spacer adapters on the back pair too? Also, the sidewall of the tires are going to stick out past the outer rim of the wheel.

Just a bit of advice. Sell those used rims. Get online and find yourself a set of Corvette replica rims if you like the style. (tirerack.com has them) They look the same and are reasonably priced. At least then you can get them in the correct size for your car. I think you are headed for alot more trouble than its worth--- premature tire and suspension damage$$$

Sorry guys Ive been busy to check the forums.

Yes im going to need 1-1/4 in spacers in the rears for these
tires are about $1.800 new $450 used

These are the rims that are gunna go on..

I might just look for 2 more fronts and put em on..

And only the rears stick out, front ones fit perfect
