what to look for
Hi guys, I'm going to see a '94 3.4L camaro soon. The person selling it says it has a clean interior and there is (supposedly) nothing wrong with it. Its a 5 speed, has 120k miles on it, has a new paint job, and is listed for $1500. The price seems a bit low for such good conditions. Im wondering what I should look for when going to see it. Thanks for any help.

If its a T-top car you really want to check the floors for the back seats. I have seen a few go thru the auction with no floor in them. The 3.4 is known for blown head gaskets so I would take a coolant pressure tester. Your best bet would be to spend $50 and get it check by a mechanic. If you see it and its Sell me red you will fall in love. Your not going to fake out a good machanic will a thick coat of wax

The main reason I was thinking about a 3.4L is because I figured the insurance wouldnt be to high. I'd get a z28 in a heart beat if the insurance wasnt so damn expensive. Whats the difference in insurance between a 3.4 and 3.8?

You should check with your agent but I don't think any. I went from a 1994 Old with a 3.1 to a 1996 3800 Camaro and my insurance dropped $8/month
i pay 160 per month because my wife is on the insurance for it too... with out her on it was $29.
