brake pads maybe? I know there are tabs on brake pads that let off a lil more than a whistling sound... but it could sound like that from the drivers seat...

could we get a lil more info?

maybe the hub bearing? mine was making a sound and i replaced it and it stopped, now my front tranny bearing is making the sound =[ so check the hub bearing, maybe the trans bearing?

sry I should of mentioned that I got new rear brakes a couple months ago so I don't think it would be the brake pads. The sound dosent happen all the time, sometimes when i start moving I'll hear this souund almost like a churping or a winding. It almost sounds like there something in there and it makes the noise once the wheel went all the way around.

Flaking chrome from the rims rubbing as the wheel spins can do it...

jack up both the back wheels and try to move the drive shaft it it has some movement without the wheels moving get your rear end checked because i think thats the same thing that just happened to my car the rear was starting to go and check if theres fluid leaking from the rear that can also cause it from the mechanical parts in the differential.

^^ yep check the level of the fluid in the rearend or have it changed and while u do that look around and see if theres oil leaking from the rearend anywhere, check behind the wheels also. if not brakes could be axle bearing. does the noise change when turning on the highway?
