Default weird noise

Well after mother nature blasted us with 10 inches I was driving my car home from work and to avoid getting hit by a idiot with a cardboard box for a rear window I slowly hit a curb and went over it! My car is lowered 1 3/4 I didnt even think that my car would even have enough speed to get over the damn thing lol.Anyway well I was stuck on the curb and scraped my bottom pretty good from the sound.I knew my exhaust was clanking against the x brace below and it bent down a little soI jacked up my car and fixed that problem. well thena couple weeks laterI was driving and i went over some tracksandscraped again.Well afterdoing a long pissed off burnout my car makes a clunking noisewhen I first hit the gashard or punch it at low rpm's. If I take offslow it doesnt do it. It sounds like its coming from the tranny back somewhere?? I just got the car about a month ago after giving up on mustangs and dont have a clue about camaro's . I wouldnt think that it would be a driveshaft since its tucked up? so I am wondering if its a mount or u joints or a rear end? The car was running perfect before the curb so I dont know ? even after the curb it didnt do it....just started after the tracks? Any help would be a blessing!! thanks

Check transmission mount, and torque arm mount on transmission tailshaft housing.

yeah check all your mounts if all good then wiggle your drive shaft to see if it feels loose then it's your u joints... if not that then more than likely rearend... might have pulled the last straw from your rear end after your "pissed off burnout" lol good luck though man

What a coincidence, I used to have a 96 Z28 convert. When my trans mount tore apart, the tail of the trans would rise up under hard acceleration and slam against the tunnel. It could be both heardand felt, and it also left behind a few dent marks. Sounds like you may have separated the trans mount when you bottomed out. If it's bad, I recommend replacing it with a urethane one since they have an interlock and can't come apart. Not only does the trans mount have to support the trans, it also has to withstand the extreme upward force from the torque arm.
