Default is this correct????

I was looking around craigslist and found a 1999 Z28 M6 with 105,000 miles. Hes asking $5000 for it and I think this seemed kinda low. Do you think that there could be an issue with the car that is causing the price to be so low? If thisprice is reasonable, then I am serioulsy considering selling my V6 for at least what I bought it for ($5500) and buying this Z28.

Could be he just needs to get rid of it. I just looked on Kelley Blue Book's website, and it said anywhere from $5600-$6900. It's a real easy website to use. Just because the price is reasonable, doesn't mean there is nothing wrong.

Two things you want to check. One is get an insurance quote before you buy or sell. Depending on your age and history the z28 could tripple your payments. Look around and see what the V6's are bringing. I have been looking for a V6 in my area and the prices are very reasonable. As you know every car is different but I have been looking around for about 3 monthsand I have seen some pretty nice V6 rides selling for well under their Kelly Blue book value. This could be cause we are in the middle of winter.

Good luck

It could be like my situation and the person seeling it has no idea what they have. I had the exact same thing i bought my car for 5200 with 108000 miles and it too is black, t-top, M6, and a 99. I would still check into everything but you might have just gotten lucky and stumbled upon a great deal. Hope it works out for you.

insurance wont be much different. I went from a 98 V6 Mustang to a 94 Z28 and i pay 30 bucks less than i did before. My Mustang had full liability and i was under my parents house hold with all kinds of discounts and i paid 170 now i have the full liability on my own coverage with no discountsand i pay 145.
