water pump removal

Default water pump removal

im removing my water pump at the moment and i was wandering whats the best way to take off the power steering pump pulley 93 3.4

do you have to take out the center ,bolt and if so hoe did you keep the pulley from moving and if not what kind of pulley puller did you use

pump pulley remover J 25034-B. That is a GM number for the pulley remover, not sure what it will cross reference with that you can find locally. On my 3.8, the pulley has 2 holes in it and you can align the holes with the bolts that hold the pump onto the motor and unscrew the pump without pulling the pulley. I don't think yours is like that.

no mine dosent have the holes in the pulley its just a soild pulley with a center bolt that im not sure if i have to remove
