Default vent control vacuum pickup location

If yr MAF or MAP throw codes, and the 20a fuse keeps blowing, does this mean that the MAF or MAP themselves blow the fuse when they go bad? My wiring and ground look good, but I dont want to buy a MAP or MAF if something else is blowing the fuse...
P0102

Thanks.

Check for restricted airflow. That, or I'd possibly advise you replace the MAF. P0102 is MAF circuit low input, so the sensor is not sending enough information. The input to the PCM is limited, in other words. This could be a faulty sensor, but I'm not really sure if it's related to the 20A fuse blowing. Do you have any electrical accessories? Sound systems, lighting, DVD, navigation, etc.?

Only elec over stock may be the LEDs and halos in the new headlites. I attached the grd wires for the lights to the existing fasteners on the radiator wall that has harness grd wires already there; that cannot hurt, can it?

It shouldn't. I don't know whether the MAF in our cars have a hotwire in them or not, so I don't know if they have the ability to clean themselves off. The sensor is either gummed up and not responding well to airflow, or is faulty itself. Try taking it out for a thorough inspection, but be careful not to touch the filament. I have no idea what could be overloading the system like that to continually cause the 20A fuse to keep blowing.

I'd suggest a mechanic take a closer look into your problem. The MAF, while simple in itself, can be expensive. I'd hate for you to start slapping parts on only to uncover a different problem.

Which 20 AMP fuse is blowing? How is it labeled?

Thanks.
Little yellow 20a fuse in fwd box, I think it says ENG SENS; owners manual sez it is for O2 and MAF, hence my query...
just ordered a MAF; checked the grounds, and my wires look okay, and the O2s are new...

Default RE: MAF 20a fuse

Last night I bought a cheap 25ct pac of 20a fuses.
I'd insert a new fuse in the ENG SEN spot where they'd been burning, then I'd remove the elec connector from ea emmisions and fuel sytem sensor I could, incl MAF, MAP, AIT, and such.

The 20a ENG SEN fuse continues to pop whenever I turn the key to ON, nomatter what sensor I disconnect.

I checked the grd wire on the fr of the block near the balancer, and on the left rr side under bank 1 O2 sensor.

I have looked at all the schematics on these sites and in the manual, but none seem to show exactly where the ground wires connect. Grd numbers like 110 do not help if you have no diagram showing #110's location...

Since the engine swap, I cannot get to the harness behind the block, above the bellhousing and between the firewall that the O2 sensors plug into. But when I reach my hand back there, I can grab or feel a dead end connector of some type, or something.
Any ideas what this could be, and/or what I should look for back there, either from below or above?
Besides that harness, what else is in that tight space? I cannot find a diagram that shows...

I do not beleive replacing the MAF, MAP, etc., will keep that fuse from popping, but I cannot get codes if no current is reaching the sensors! I have replaced the O2s, and they are clean and connected...

Thanks again. The usual searches where attempted...
