Default V6-V8 swap...

Have a shot at a straight body v6 car that i would consider taking in on trade if it can be swapped to a v8 ON A BUDGET!!! What will be themajor items needed (like k-member, mounts, etc) to complete the swap and can i use the auto trans from the v6 to temporarily get the poject mobile?
For those who have done this, give me a ballpark figure on what amount i am facing to complete the project with a bone stock/mild carb'd small block.
Thanks everyone!
Kreston
P.S. this will be my first ever swap so forgive my lack of knowledge and my idiotic questions along the way....

This is all covered in the V6 to V8 swap thread. V6 tranny will not bolt to a V8. You need a donor car from the same year to make the swap.

But swap and high budget do. Budget doesn't always mean cheap though, maybe he's got a $5-10k budget?

If that were a typo that read $5-10 budget then yes....it seems that little "k" at the end of those numbers doesnt exist in my vocab....

Default v6 to v8 swap

i am new to the site but can answer alot of questions. I have done alot of swaps and wiring so the myth of the v6 to v8 swap is not that expensive its only about 2500 bucks from start to finish
