Default v6 swap

My first question is what engine has more horsepower a lt1 or ls1? My second question is how much would itcost to swap out my v6 and put in a v8?

You could prob do a swap for 5-7 grand actually, but regardless, buying a V8 car is by far the best option

and yes, if you have to ask, you prob. can't do it (no offense)

It's nothing for a shade tree mechanic to attempt. It would be worthwhile to sell the V6 for as much as you can get for it, turn around, and put the money on a 1998+ Z28 (since the LS1 is faster, and I assume that's what you're looking for).

although, if you planned on further upgrading the suspension and all in the z28, no sense in buying z28 and spend the 5-7gtand still. if you get what im saying.

Why would you go through all the trouble to switch everything over to V8 when it would be faster to just buy the new one for possibly the same price or even less. Pointless to me....

What is different between a V6 and a Z28 besides the engine? Suspension?
