v6 rasp...where does it really come from?

I was hearing more "rasp" from the wind blowing the camera!

Thats interesting reading that a glasspack in place of the CAT helps reduce the rasp. Does anyone have a sound clip after replacing their cat with a glasspack ?

I'm gonna try it out and make a new video of before and after at high rpm

Roger that. I did look on youtube last night to listen to a few videos on there on ppl replacing the cat with a glasspack

heres my V6 flowmaster cat back and the cat replaced with a glass pack. now it still rasps but not until about 4000 rpm

I've always wondered the same thing. To me it sounds like the noise produced by each cylinder kinda blends together. Maybe because the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6?

Unfortunately I don't have the car anymore but I can tell you that most of the rasp came drone the dual 3.5" pipes coming out the back lol one way to get it toned down is decrease the tailpipe diameter
