Default V6 guys, want boost?

There's a GP on FTV6 for the brackets, if you're serious about some boost, I suggest you get in on this. I'm going to evaluate my funds and see if I can afford the down payment my self.

Excuse my ignorance on forced induction, but could you answer some questions about this kit for me?

If I understand this correctly, the kit the sponsors over at FTV6 are going to make is the bracketing system for the BD11A powerdyne headunit.

I've read that the powerdyne head unit cost on average of ~$500, but what else would be needed to supercharge the 3.8?

The sponsor on that thread stated a full kit could be put together for $1400-$2000. With their bracketing kit costing $450 and the head unit costing $500. What is the other $1000 being spent on?

I'm asking because i'm in the market for a 4th gen camaro and it was suggested to look for a 93-97 z28 6 speed, but if I could supercharge a 3.8 for less than $2k i'd think I would enjoy the experience more.

Thanks in advance.

The other $1000 would be spent on things like injectors, new belt, piping, tune, etc. There's more to it, but I'm everything but the foremost expert on centrifugal supercharges.

I can't imagine it being very hard to do. Can't answer how long it would take. If you sign up over there and ask, you might get a better answer.
