Default V6 Exhaust

Does anyone out therehave true duals with headers on a V6? I'm working on getting Pacesetter headers and dualing mine off. Just wondering how it might turn out sound wise.

you can get it done at different shops but it costs alot more to go over the axle. my buddy with a 98 ta just had his lts put on with an X pipe and then dumped it before the axle, it saved him about 700$ but if i were you and if you have a 3.8 i would find a set of lts to do it with verses find or custom making and H pipe down from the mid length pace setters. i have a 3.8 with ps headers and i have been thinking about buying lts and doing it but one place i found makes them and they are 700$

man i am getting tired of answering this serch button people!!!! running a conventail set of true duals on a 3.8 will cause you to lose horsepower. our engines do not have high enough compression to support that type of system. if youd like me to explain why not i can but just trust me. while they will sound very mean your car will be slightly less so....

What are you asking? True duals sounds bad ***. True you may lose low end torque, but will make up for it in higher rpms. Like Nic said, the search feature is actually pretty handy.

Any aftermarket exhaust whether it is true duals or just a single in dual out cat back is going to make you lose a lot of low end torque. The single in dual out isn't very bad though.... But true duals will be quite insane unless you go with smaller pipes to constitute for it. As Nic said, our cars do not have high enough compression to support true duals unless you go with a smaller pipe. Because with the larger pipes, there is not enough velocity... Which means you're actually making it harder for your engine to pump out those exhaust gasses. Thus reducing the effectiveness of the "pump" AKA your engine =P

throw some maxwells on it! that **** doesnt sound good but sounds killer when you redline 1st gear!

get 1 side magna and the other flowmaster. getting dual exhaust is to common, i seen a firebird with a single had the hollow sound, wicked sound when he/she got on it.
