Default Turbo 2.8

For you fans of forced induction and the 3.4 Camaro V6. This is a picture of a 1990+- Pontiac V6. Started as a 2.8 with a 5 speed manual. Most of the turbo set up was salvaged from a 1989 McLaren/Pontiac Turbo GP. The engine is stock, except for bigger injectors from an LS1, and the top end from the 3.4 turbo GP. The car belongs to a friend, and wound up spending a weekend in my garage for a clutch change. He is running 16 PSI of boost. 1/4 mile times are in the low 14 and low 90. Took several weeks of trial and error tuning to finally getting it to run reasonably well.

The reason I am posting this, is that the question is often asked on how to get the 3.4 to make decent power. The main problems with the 3.4 are the heads and intake manifold. Both can be exchanged with heads from a 3.4 or 3.5 transverse engine from a front drive W body. All this stuff appears in the V6 section on upgrading the 3.4 engine. However; the blocks are not interchangeable, so you need to keep the old 3.4 block which unfortunately can't handle roller cams.
