trouble with fiberglass ss hood!
I bought this 01 with the hood already in place. Its not painted, its really flexible and flemsy. But thats not my problem, the hood just isnt aligning with the front fenders and the hood on one side is got a gap of about 3 quarters of an inch. Im hoping that someone will have some home remedies. Also last night i was driving home and it was pretty dark and i was going about 55 and all of the sudden a huge deer just walked out in the middle of the road. I disconnected my abs module and im lucky that i did cause it made my car slide in the ditch and luckily avoided the deer, and i know i slid for about 20 yards, I thought i was bo duke their for a min. I dont care that i got flat spots on my already wore out tire. Im just glad he didnt lay down on my front end.[sm=insomnia.gif]

RE: trouble with fiberglass ss hood!
You should just be able to losen the bolts holding the hoodto the henges and adjust the fit, just adjust it one way or another till the gaps are where you want them. You'll need 2 people, one to hold the hood and the other to tighten the bolts. If the holes just are not in the right places you might take a dremel and adjust the holes to where you need them, but make sure you know which way you need to extend the holes and don't just go crazy routing. I'd probably get some kind of bracing in the hood to keep it from flexing so much.
