Question Trans Cooler Line Discontinued, replacement parts?

Anyone know of a source for an '02 V6 Transmission cooler line (lower)? My Chevy dealer is doing an extended warranty repair, but a replacement part is required for their warranty on the repair, just repairing the line means a shorter warranty. Two used ones leak just as bad, where the hose is crimped with metal.

Anyone know of any parts on the market? I am told the OEM part is discontinued and nothing exists on the aftermarket. I have not yet done much research, and am just starting, but figured someone else may have pointers.

TIA

Dorman has part numbers 624-480 for the lower and 624-481 for the upper. Not 100 percent sure whether it's actually available or not. I will check as soon as I go back to work.

^ I made some parts store calls and found the same as you, now it's a WTF moment when I ask what's up at the Chevy Service shop. *rolls eyes* The parts stores did not stock the part, but said it's orderable, or does that mean "made-to-order"?

Hahaha. Well at least they can order them. I found it odd that a GM dealership didn't call a parts store themselves and try to get the part. That's what our local dealerships do. Must have wanted you to give up on your current Camaro and trade for a new 5th gen one.

Turns out the Chevrolet shop will not warranty an aftermarket parts/labor repair due to their policy (if GM parts its 12 mo./12k mi.), so I have to go aftermarket and the Extended Warranty has to provide a 6 mo./6k mi. warranty. *rolls eyes*

Here's the Dorman part, lifetime warranty:

So the Chevrolet shop will not warranty and aftermarket part and that's required by my Ext. Warranty, but found another shop offering 12 mo/12k mi. warranty parts/labor. First thing they find is my trans mount is destroyed -- funny -- I never felt it, and you can not visually notice it, but push up on the trans, and sure enough, nothing holding it.

Now, how does a GM shop miss THAT? Blind by design -- their 22 point inspection is visual only, the 3rd party shop start touching things and doing *real* inspection...
