Tranny problems
Hi Folks,
I'm over in Edinburgh Scotland and have a 1985 2.8 mpi Camaro with a 4 speed autobox. Coming home today I selected OD and was cruising along at about 20mph when all of a sudden there was no drive to the wheels. When I moved the selector to D the car drove fine. I re-tried the OD but nothing still.
Oil is clear and red as you would expect.
Anybody got any ideas what has broke and how to fix.
Do you think I can continue driving the car until I can fix it?
Also what type of box do I have in my car?
Cheers in advance
Chris

thanks,
think I'm going to go down the line of finding another 3rd gen camaro with dodgy body or un-road worthy and transplanting the engine and box in to mine and then i will have a V8 camaro. but i'll have to finish the the conversion of my 1978 triumph spitfrie to v8 power instead of standard 1500cc 4 cylinder.
Cheers
