Swap in the 4.3 and a T56 (6 speed from Z28), T56 should have the right bellhousing bolt pattern

Or if you're going to go that far, just make a Z28 clone by swapping in a V8

Seriously: Either rebuild, or buy a rebuilt 3800 to drop in, or replace the car altogether with one that's not been abused like that.

 

ok, new question, will the mounts line up? I know you guys said that I'll probably have to fabricate new mounts, but I've been looking and they don't look much different... of course one is twisted almost to the point of non recognition. also the drive shaft becomes another issue, it's already somewhat of an issue due to the fact that the car is lowered.

 

We say fab up some mounts since they may not line up.
