top speed?

im just wondering what the top speed of a 3800 camaro is. the speedo says 120 but im sure it would do more than that. anybody know?

Top speed of a stock 3800 is 120 mph. It'll do more but first u'd have to remove the governor. W/o a gov, i've seen speeds up to 140 but then it's pushing the redline.

Limiter at 118. People on another forum say anywhere from 135 to 145 mph w/o the limiter.

i was figuring it was limited. ive never gotten mine over 115. i hada friend with a 4 cyl accord and he got it to 125 with me in it one time. i figured if his did that, mine could do atleast 135

I feel like it would take a looooong time to hit 140 in a 3.8L. long flat stretches of road that are "safe" for those speeds are hard to find.

iono, my moms benz i got up to 142 on the freeway really early when noone was on it like 3 am
