Hi im new here and i was thinkin about purchasing my neighbors camaro and i was wondering what the top speed might be on that, and how do u remove the engine limiters, thanks guys

 

I wondering about that myself.. I would to get that custom cluster that reads up 200mph on the speedometer, think their all for 97 and v-8 models. looking for someone to get that limit off.

 

I have a 94 v6 3.4l and i've gotten that car up to 110 before the govenor kicked in and droped me down to about 107-108...if u manage to figure out how to take off the limiter, plz share...i wanna make this car go faster with out limitations

 

To remove the speed limiter you have to have the PCM reprogrammed, and have the speed limiter deleted. Be aware that if you don't have speed rated tires, you are risking a high speed blowout. Not much fun.

 

Why do you think we have cheap @ss tires, LOL !!!???

To delete the limiter,Can you use V8 programmer on 3.4 v6 to do that or are you going to a speed shop to do that ????

Please tell, My trouble is at the limit that I need to break !!!!!!!! Hahahahha...!

 

Also these cars were put at the 110 limit because you will start to wag lol

 

I don't think a V8 programmer will work with the V6, it will probably screw up the car. You can call http://www.pcmforless.com/ (they do v6's in addition to v8's) and they will modify the PCM setting to delete the limiter and also retune the PCM and get you a few more horses. They charge somewhere $125 to $150, which is much cheaper than bying a programmer.

 

Well guys i dont think i have a governer on my 94 v6 i raced a 99 mustang 3.8 and it chipped out at 115 and mine keep it was below the speedometer im thinkin around 120 then i backed off cuz i kicked his ***
