Which makes it sound even more like a valvetrain noise :P When you press the gas, oil pressure goes up... More lube = Less noise eh? I'm with Ali and say sticky lifter

Do you use full synthetic oil? If not, try switching and see if that helps...

i use full synthetic . But if it is a stuck lifter how would i fix it on a 3.4?

UPDATE: the tick is starting to kinda get faster and louder...
just out of curiosity what is the oil pressure gauge supose to be at when idling and driving?
(mine is about half maybe a little less at idle with engne warm and goes up to about 70ish when accelerating)

Yes a stuck lifter can cause a loss in power, because it is not opening up the valves.Oil psi should be at least 20 psi at idle, but its normally higher when the engine is cold. The rule of thumb is to have atleast 10psi per 1000 rpms

My car is a 3.8 and at idle it's around 30-35 and 60 under load when the engine is hot. I figure about the same for yours.
