Default Test pipe

I'd like to install a test pipe on my car, to eliminate the gutted cat. Could anyone tell me where to look to find one? I tried ebay and it really didn't reveal much. Would Napa carry anything, perhaps Meineke? How about an online vendor?

any muffler shop can do it, they just chop off the old cat and weld a pipe in the same diamitor as the one you have.

^^exactly right. I had my cat go bad and i put in a test pipe for awhile. All it is is just a pipe replacing your catalytic converter. any exhaust shop can do it and the pipe can be had from any parts store. the shop doing the install should cover the piping though anyways.

You do realize that you wont pass emissions testing without a cat right? Just a heads up!

Hmm. How much did it cost to have it installed? I can weld, but welding on my exhaust is something I'd rather not attempt. I was thinking more along the lines of exhaust clamping it into place or if it was economical, I'd have a shop do it.

And yes, I know I wouldn't pass an emissions test, but North Carolina currently has no emission testing.

should cost no more than 60 bucks, even less if you buy your own material.
