I want to change the look of the tail lights on my 97 camaro. If I buy a new tail light assembly, do I simply take off my old covers and plug the bulbs into the new covers, or is there more work involved than that?

Yes, please do not do it!

The only aftermarket tail lights that look good are the smoked out style lights, and that is on only some vehicles on certain colors.

 

i dont see a pic, but there better have not been chrome or clear tail lights in it...but as said, smoked or black outs are the best way to go...and they dont look good on all cars, i preferable like the black outs on a white maro, other than that, keep the stock tail lights, if anything give them the 98-02 look

 

yea, i bought some black altezza style ones off ebay, never installed them and just kept my black covers on my black car. STEALTHY!!!

 

ive got some black taillights for my car i order couple months ago never put them in but from the pics they look good installed...ordered them from andysports.com i think it was..
