alright guys, i know this is a camaro forum, but ive got a problem. ive got a 84 porsche 944 that has a 3.8 v6 from a camaro. its carbed. i went to start it the other day and it started up, but then it just died. now it wont start. its the older 3.8 but still uses the coil packs. now my question is this, is there a controller under the coil packs to control ignition? if so, how can i check it, cause im not getting any spark, just gas and air.

 

sounds like you need a new coil pack. not sure about the 3.8, but i know the 3.1 coil packs go for around 100 bucks

 

just one coil pack will make the rest of them not fire? it should start even if one of the packs is dead.
