Default still having problems.

So after taking my car to the mechanic to get the starting up problem and the lagging fixed i still have another problem that came along with the other two. The car starts up beautifully now without taking more than one try and i havent experienced the lagging anymore either. The mechanic said it was three faulty wires from pcm. Anyway Now the problem im still having is upon start up.. every now and then the car revs on its own...i have no idea what could be causing it ..any ideas?

Try cleaning the throttle body, but it is likely something else like maybe a Throttle Position Sensor, or another sensor in the air intake area...

Try cleaning the throttle body out so there is no gunk where the throttle blades close. May want to also clean out the Idle Air Valve. It is also possible that the PCM was powered down and is going to need a certain amount of start cycles before it learns how to make the engine idle properly again.

Just curious, what would cause the PCM to power down, and how long would that last before it "wakes back up"?

The shop repaired the wiring on the PCM, and it is a good idea to disconnect the battery whenever working on the computer. So I would guess a good shop or mechanic would have done that.
