I was thinking about disconnecting the pump and putting a volt meter to the pigtail to see if its getting what its susposed to.
If thats at the correct voltage I'll have my wife turn the ignition on and see if I can hear it primering. If not guess its $200.00 for a new pump

Yeah make sure to check the relay and the fuel pressure too. Not only is the pump >$200, you have to REMOVE the rear axle to get to the tank, which the pump is in. It took me the better part of a weekend to take everything apart and put it back together. Good luck & I hope its not the pump.

I would double check the fuel pump to make sure it wasn't just intermittent earlier and has finally gone out. If your still receiving good pressure to the injectors then you might wanna take a harder look at the injectors.

Na fuel pump finally went out while my wife and I were comin home from walmart.
I dont have any fuel pressure at the rails anymore. So Im gunna prolly cut the hatch up if I can find my grinding blades for the dremel. Dont feel like droping the rear end.

I droped the rear end once on another camaro to change the pump, and ive cut the hatch and made a door. I'll just do the door again.

I got her running again.
But now another issue came up and it never did this before.
But sounds like I have metal grinding on metal.
Its like a high pitched wind sorta. Hard to describe the sound im getting. But sounds like the water pump is grinding on the block. And I dont see how this can happen.
But that is the general area it comes from.

And it only does it at idle, and in first gear. When I hit 3000 rpms and it shifts to second the noise goes away like nothing is happening

sounds like the belt tensioner. grab some spray lube and squirt some on the bearing area and see if it stops if so your bearing is goin.

Do you think that it might be an ignition problem maybe with the resister in the key, or the ignition its self?
