That's a great box but you wont have the money to get it. Especially needing 4 speakers, 2 amps, a sub, sub box, wiring kit, and head unit. Here's what I came up with. It comes up to about $925 and you wont find this stuff anywhere cheaper. You could use different amps to cut the price a little bit and different speakers to cut the price a little bit. I would stay with the box, head unit, and definitely keep that wiring kit. It's the best one for the job!

For instance, you could get these speakers:

They're going to have almost the same sound quality. I've installed both sets in different cars and they were both great speakers. Just depends on what you want to spend and whether or not you want to be able to say "yeah I'm runnin JL *****ez!" lol

That box is hella expensive. Now you also have to get a secondary sub which will cost more money. You're gonna run out of money before you're done lol

You can get better sounding stuff for half the price. All you're paying for is the name. However, I would definitely recommend the Alpine head unit. That is the foundation of any stereo system. If you're going to run speakers that are rated for 80watts rms, then you'll definitely need an amp to push them! I would run something more like 50-60watts rms and get a small amp to push them. You'll save money that way and still have a killer sounding system. As for a sub/subs. I prefer RE-Audio. My next choice is Kicker. I would run 10" Kicker CVR's. They have a great sound and in the back of a Camaro they'll sound like two 1500watt 12's. Camaro's were absolutely the best cars for producing bass. With that being said, DO NOT go with a 1000watt rms sub. You will be displeased with how obnoxiously loud it is. Something along the lines of 400watts rms will be plenty to set off car alarms lol. Like I said, I would go with two Kicker CVR 10's backed up by a Kenwood 1800watt amp. That will give you 450 true watts to each sub and you can turn the gain down on the amp to make it about 380-400 true watts going to the subs. They'll be able to take the full beating of 450 though. I've done in numerous times installing systems. You could still use that amp if you wanted to run only one sub too! (difference in 4ohms and 2ohms) depending on how you wire it. I assume you were looking at one 10" so you can stuff it in the side compartment of the well so you still have the storage room. Anyways, any other questions, lemme know. I've been installing car audio and selling it for 3 years now. I'm pretty savvy in that area lol.
Really late to the thread but have some questions. I really want somewhat good sound quality but really good bass! What do I need to run in my iroc ? I was originally thinking two 12inch subs with new speakers in the front and back but what's recommended? I saw the pic above and though two subs and maybe speakers in the sub box too? But I definitely want to upgrade all the speakers in the car because their original and blown out

Well I can tell you that after having 6 more years of experience under my belt and hearing all different kinds of systems in f-bodies, I can honestly say its very easy to go too big, at least for my taste. The first thing you need to establish is a budget. Once you do that, you need to decide what types of music you'll be listening to most. Are you wanting to beat the death out of your car with sound pressure? Or do you want to have amazing sound quality? Or do you want a little bit of both. Hit me back with all that and I'll be able to help!

Was hoping to spend between $500-$800 for speakers subs and box wasn't including the actual radio but if it can fit in that budget that be cool too. I was a double din touch screen radio with Bluetooth and navigation and maybe even a backup camera but I understand that's usually $200-$400 alone so we can leave that out of he budget I would love some suggestions on what radio though. So I will be playing rap music I love bass and sound quality too I want it to be Loud but clear and with a lot of bass. I don't want to drown the sound with bass though I want to feel the good hits off the bass with loud music as well. Get me? I know I'm confusing lol. I was thinking replace all the speakers I have with new ones but have no idea about brand or size. And want 2 12 inch subs because I heard that would be more then enough but what do you suggest?
